Transgressing obsession, dreams do wander
through misconceptions haze all alone,
to witness the fall and silent disgrace
of a star my frail heart once adored.
In darkness engulfed and soul torn asunder
when by twilight and moonlight enthralled,
my memories do waste as thoughts misplace
whatever remains of love once abhorred.
What is love, but tribulation unreal
born of asperity, malice and spite?
If heartache be felt, must by life it heal
for oft' has death decided otherwise,
from fever to fever for lifeless tears
lest breathless Eros should impart despair.
